[February,19,2024] ‘University Student Challenge Support’ Student Activity Group Presentation Held

On February 19, 2024, a student activity group presentation was held at the University of Hyogo Headquarters by student groups active on each campus as part of the 2023 Student Activity Support Project “University of Hyogo Students Challenge Support. The president, vice presidents, department heads, and other executives, as well as faculty and staff, attended the event and heard presentations by representatives of six student activity groups supported by the SDGs Promotion Committee Office and the Office for the Promotion of Gender Equality, respectively. We look forward to their further activities in the future!

Presented groups
S&I Club (Sustainability and Inclusion Club)
The S&I Club is working to create a sustainable society and protect diversity by spreading knowledge about Vegan & Halal food, aiming to introduce Vegan & Halal food to the university cafeteria, cleaning up Suma beach, learning about diversity, and disseminating information through social networking services.

Robotics Research Club
Through its activities, the club improves technical skills and promotes technical exchange across faculties and departments, and conducts motivational and educational activities for junior and senior high school students at school festivals and other events.

Sparkle
Sparkle creates opportunities for cultural exchange among local residents and students living in Koto town to prevent residents and students from becoming isolated and to revitalize the local community.

Student International Cooperation Organization CHISE
CHISE is working to support pre-school education in impoverished areas of Laos by giving classes to children and holding discussions with schools and villagers through local experts.

The “I” Word
Under the theme of “Commitment to diversity” we are striving to raise awareness for the realization of a diverse society through a variety of projects, focusing on tolerance of oneself and others.

Meat Lovers
Meat Lovers is conducting activities to promote the SDGs through food by holding workshops for local children on the current situation, issues, and solutions to the food crisis, so that they can experience the wide range of possibilities of food and act in an environmentally conscious manner.
