“Sparkle” is a student group activity group from the School of Science at the University of Hyogo. The group aims to share their expertise with local residents and researchers, deepen cultural exchange, and bring vibrancy to the region by leveraging its unique characteristics.
As the sixth activity, they organized a body-building session at Koto Plaza, jointly with the Fureai Sports Exchange Center in Koto, to promote healthy daily life for all generations. The event was split into two parts, one for those with a moderate level of fitness seeking to further improve their health and flexibility, and one for those who feel less confident in their physical fitness but are looking for ways to get started.
Both sessions were run by a physical education instructor from the Fureai Sports Exchange Center. The Sessions focused on teaching easy-to-follow stretches and exercises, that participants, ranging from elementary school students to senior citizens, could do at home. Participants were also given advice on their daily exercise routine, making the meeting a useful opportunity for a healthy daily life.
“Sparkle” will continue to develop projects and events for the revitalization of Koto community exchange and promote community engagement.
