Participated in the “Colorful Week Astronomical Observation” held at Wakayama University

Lecturer Shinya Narusawa of the Institute of Natural and Environmental Sciences gave a lecture titled “Considering Diversity and Sustainability of Society from the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence” at an astronomical viewing event hosted by the Headquarters of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) of the Wakayama University on Wednesday, May 24, 2012.
This activity is part of the “Partnership for the Future Possibilities of Nature, Environment, and Society” initiative of the SDGs Promotion Office of the Institute of Nature and Environmental Sciences. About 70 students attended the viewing party, and after the lecture, students asked questions and engaged in discussion. The promotion office will continue to collaborate with other organizations to develop a wide variety of initiatives in the future.
